NVIDIA is seeking a skilled Staff UC/Software Development Engineer to join our IT-EPE organization and be a key member of Unified Communications and employee collaboration experience. This role will involve Software Development on conferencing systems including Microsoft Teams meeting environments and Cisco RoomOS. It also covers meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, Gmeet, and Slack. Employees use these daily on desktop devices, mobile apps, and in meeting rooms.

The role requires confirmed Software Development with UC domain knowledge, technical proficiency in Python and Bash automation, API integrations including Microsoft Graph and PowerShell, and strong communication skills.

Candidates who have operated enterprise meetings platforms, instrumented UC observability and CQD, and applied AI to full-stack development of UC products will stand out. What you'll be doing:

You will be key part of design, operations, and evolution of our Unified Communications platform, spanning Cisco Webex RoomOS and room systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and related collaboration services. Day to day you will keep meeting spaces reliable, integrate UC with cloud infrastructure, and improve how we observe and automate the estate.

  • Build and maintain integrations using Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, and REST APIs so UC systems stay in sync with identity, calendaring, and IT service platforms.

  • Build, Manage and Extend full-stack development with in UC domain, covering monitoring, admin tooling, and user-facing Products, including AI-assisted capabilities.

  • Operate and enhance Cisco Webex RoomOS and room systems and Microsoft Teams Rooms, including provisioning, policy, firmware lifecycle, and incident response, and support the employee-facing meetings and collaboration experience across rooms, desktops, and mobile clients.

  • Automate administrative and operational work with Java Script, Python, Bash, and generative AI tools with MCP, Inference & LLMs, so routine changes, health checks, and remediations are repeatable and auditable.

  • Instrument UC observability through Call Quality Dashboard (CQD), user experience metrics, and dashboards that reflect what users actually experience in rooms and meetings.

  • Partner with IT, networking, facilities, security, and product teams to troubleshoot issues across rooms, clients, cloud services (Azure and AWS), and the network path.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 6+ years of overall experience in full stack Development, Unified Communications, collaboration engineering, or a closely related Software development role.

  • Hands-on coding with Unified Communications domain knowledge of Cisco Webex RoomOS and room systems and Microsoft Teams Rooms, plus enterprise meetings platforms used by employees such as Microsoft Teams meetings, Zoom, Gmeet & Cisco Webex.

  • Practical software development experience supporting the employee collaboration estate: scheduling and joining meetings, hybrid room-to-desktop interoperability, calendaring, client policies, and day-to-day user experience across chat, calling, and video meetings.

  • IT infrastructure knowledge across Azure and AWS cloud services as they apply to UC, identity, and supporting services.

  • Working knowledge of AI models and development practices, with the ability to manage existing full-stack developed tools pertaining to UC.

  • Demonstrated ability to automate and troubleshoot UC administrative and operational tasks using Python and Bash scripting, along with generative AI tools.

  • Experience with API integrations, Microsoft Graph, and PowerShell.

  • Familiarity with UC observability, CQD, and user experience metrics such as call quality, join success, reliability, and device health.

  • This position is located in the Bay Area.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Familiarity with webcast and streaming infrastructure, including multicast distribution for large-audience live events.

  • Understanding of Contact center deployment, Digital Signage, MDM & Visitor Management system.

  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and UC troubleshooting tools such as packet capture, call-path analysis, and device logs.

  • AI model knowledge covering speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and speech-to-speech architectures and modules.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and strong operational ownership.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 144,000 USD - 230,000 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
