Job description

As Bender at NTS Singapore you will be responsible for operating and setting up bending machines to produce high-quality components according to technical drawings, specifications and production requirements. You will ensure machines are correctly set up with the appropriate tools, dies and materials, while inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality. You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and identify opportunities for process improvement. Maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work environment will be an important part of your role.

Furthermore, your duties are:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and verbal instructions to ensure production requirements are met

  • Set up and operate bending machines using the appropriate tools, dies and materials

  • Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality and compliance with specifications, and maintain accurate production records and documentation

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, and report technical or production issues as required

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies and manufacturing best practices while maintaining good housekeeping practices on machines and throughout the work area

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues and identify opportunities for process improvement

  • Support the training and mentoring of junior machine operators and contribute to an efficient and productive team environment

Job requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Professional Certificate, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills and understanding of manufacturing processes

  • Knowledge of safety standards and manufacturing best practices

  • Physically able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods

  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required, with a responsible and team-oriented approach
