Responsibilities
The Chaplain Coordinator provides spiritual care to patients, families, and hospital staff across the organization, assessing spiritual needs and delivering appropriate support, including crisis intervention, bereavement care, and facilitation of support groups and other patient services. In addition to direct clinical care, this role carries leadership responsibility for chaplaincy operations at an assigned Northside Hospital campus. This leadership responsibility includes and is not limited to the following: supervising and developing spiritual care personnel, managing staffing and departmental budgets, and partnering with hospital leadership on strategic priorities and quality improvement. The Chaplain Coordinator also builds and delivers education and training programs—covering grief, resilience, and spiritual care topics—for clinical and non-clinical staff, CPE students, and community partners.
