About this role

BAS technicians with the ability troubleshoot, install, service or program building automation systems are all urged to apply. Other duties related to assisting in the commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

  • Program databases for all supported systems to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturers' recommendations, in accordance with company standards and contract documents.
  • Perform calibration and check-out of control systems and ensure that specified sequence of operations and commissioning obligations are met.
  • Assist the graphics coordinator and/or provide the labor and expertise for the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces when required for projects.
  • Instruct client/customer personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems and energy conversation routines.
  • Monitor BAS systems, equipment performance and resolve issues.

 

Qualifications

Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Two or more (2+) years of DDC/BAS control system start-up, checkout, and service experience
  • Valid driver license
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management
  • Programming and troubleshooting skills with ABB, Siemens, KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell, and other equivalent systems.
  • Experience with pneumatic controls
