About this role
We are looking for a Network Engineer to join us.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing network equipment administration at multiple data centers.
- Performing the routine and emergency maintenance works on network equipment.
- Dealing with requests from external and internal clients.
- Directly participating in internal projects (developing network, connecting new locations, implementing new equipment, automation).
Hardware we use
- Routers: Cisco (65xx, 76xx), Juniper (MX-series), Brocade (MLX-series).
- Switches: Cisco, Juniper (EX/QFX-series), HP, Arista, Brocade (VDX/ICX-series).
- Firewalls: Cisco PIX/ASA, Juniper SRX.
Our expectations
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN principles.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, services, and their functions.
- Basic: TCP/UDP/IP, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, SSH, Telnet, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, POP, IMAP.
- Routing: Static, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP.
- Switching: VLANs, xSTP, LACP, HSRP/VRRP/etc.
- Basic knowledge of ОС FreeBSD/CentOS/Debian/Windows.
- English level sufficient for reading technical documentation and communicating with customers (Intermediate at least).
- Ability to learn, communication skills, willingness to take in and analyze large amounts of new information (mostly technical in English).
Will be a plus
- Certifications from network equipment and software vendors.
- Experience in telecom and/or hosting.
