What You'll Do

Tax Advisory

  • Lead and deliver complex tax advisory engagements across a diverse client portfolio
  • Advise clients on corporate tax planning, group restructuring, M&A tax considerations, and cross-border tax matters
  • Review and sign off on advisory deliverables — technical papers, tax opinions, and client presentations
  • Stay current on Malaysian tax legislation and IRB developments — proactively advising clients on implications and opportunities

Business Development

  • Leverage your existing network to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Lead client pitches, proposal preparation, and presentations to prospective clients
  • Represent the firm at industry events and networking functions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders — CFOs, Finance Directors, and Tax Heads

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the tax team — building technical capability and professional confidence
  • Contribute to internal training, knowledge sharing, and practice development initiatives
  • Work closely with Partners on the strategic growth of the tax advisory practice


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field
  • Professional qualification — CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent; CTIM membership is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 13–15 years of progressive tax experience with a strong focus on tax advisory
  • Proven track record in business development — has personally grown a client portfolio or driven revenue
  • Strong technical knowledge of Malaysian corporate tax and cross-border tax matters; working knowledge of transfer pricing
  • Open to candidates with experience across commercial and shared service centre environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to translate complex tax matters into clear, actionable advice
