About this role
We are looking for a Finance Lead to oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting, finance administration, payroll and human resources operations. The role requires a hands-on, organised and commercially aware individual who can manage both accounting and HR matters independently while supporting management in maintaining strong financial and people processes.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance
- Handle full sets of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, cash flow and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Manage invoicing, payments, collections and supplier/customer accounts.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets and financial controls.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks and other external parties.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory deadlines.
- Support management with financial analysis, costing and other ad-hoc financial matters.
Human Resources & Payroll
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, transfers and resignations.
- Administer monthly payroll, claims, leave, attendance and employee benefits.
- Ensure compliance with EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and employee engagement initiatives.
General Administration & Management Support
- Maintain proper documentation, filing systems and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting, payroll and HR processes.
- Provide timely reports and updates to management.
- Support management on ad-hoc operational, finance and HR projects.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience covering accounting and HR/payroll functions.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting, payroll and statutory requirements.
- Able to handle full set accounts and payroll independently.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical ability and organisational skills.
- Mature, responsible and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Hands-on and independent, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
