Electrical Technician

Electronics Assembly & PCB Repair

Huntsville, AL

$20.00-$28.00/Hour 

 


We are hiring an Electrical Technician I/II to support electronics assembly, electrical testing, troubleshooting, and repair operations in a controlled manufacturing environment. This role supports production and Repair & Return (R&R) activities involving PCB soldering and rework, wiring harnesses, electrical and electromechanical assemblies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, automated test equipment, ERP/MES documentation, ESD controls, and IPC standards.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Perform IPC-compliant soldering and rework on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and wiring harnesses.
  • Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, automated test equipment, and other diagnostic tools to support testing and troubleshooting.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Document repair activities and test results accurately in ERP/MES systems.
  • Support quality activities, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform work in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment while following established safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Escalate unfamiliar defects, failures, or technical issues to senior technicians or supervisors.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 0–4 years of electronics assembly or repair experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and follow controlled manufacturing and repair processes.
  • Basic soldering proficiency.
  • Basic understanding of electrostatic discharge (ESD) controls and safe electronic component handling practices.
  • Ability to accurately document electrical testing and repair activities.
  • Ability to lift 25–40 lbs. as required.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or related experience.
  • IPC J-STD-001 certification or related experience.
