Advanced Quality Inspector
Onsite in Canonsburg, PA
Pay Estimated: $30 Per Hour | 1st Shift
We are hiring an Advanced Quality Inspector to support a defense manufacturing environment by inspecting parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance with specified requirements. Perform real-time defect evaluation, prepare quality assurance documentation, verify corrective actions and rework, and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to maintain product quality and traceability.
Responsibilities:
The Advanced Quality Inspector will inspect parts, materials, assemblies and equipment for compliance to specified requirements and perform real-time defect evaluation. This will require the preparation of QA documentation along with the verification of corrective action implementation and rework.
- Inspect parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment for compliance with specified requirements
- Conduct detailed inspections throughout production to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
- Identify and assess manufacturing defects, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Verify corrective actions and rework are effectively implemented to prevent recurrence
- Ensure parts and materials are properly labeled and traceable throughout the production process
- Complete and maintain quality assurance records, inspection reports, and documentation for compliance and audit purposes
- Interface with coworkers, internal customers, and suppliers to address quality issues
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of directly related experience
- Solid knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control, workmanship standards, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), statistics, and process control techniques
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to verify parts and assemblies meet design specifications
- Understanding of electrical or mechanical systems and components used in inspection and testing
- J-STD-001, J-STD-002, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
