About this role

Meta seeks an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to own Meta's relationship with its third-party logistics (3PL) and Rack Integration providers across the centralized warehouse network for Rack build and deploy operations. They are the operational liaison between Meta and its vendors — accountable for the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods, supplies, and equipment across warehouses, data centers, and the POP/Hut network. The role exists to drive efficiency, enforce Meta's standards and compliance, and scale operations to support the centralized warehouse growth planned for 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Move to MINIMUM_QUALIFICATION or a separate working conditions section
  • Coordinate day-to-day deployment planning and execution to move data center hardware from Meta's NORAM distribution network into deployed, live capacity
  • Manage the movement of goods and equipment by building efficient operations and transportation schedules that deliver on time and in full
  • Align on required VAS (Value Added Services) processes to support connectivity gear at T3s across 3PLs, VAS providers, and XFN partners, and deploy to meet customer needs
  • Lead day-to-day execution of Meta's 3PL and warehouse vendors, ensuring quality control and compliance with Meta's policies, procedures, safety protocols, and SOX inventory-control requirements
  • Serve as the central point of communication between Meta and its vendors and internal customers at all levels, engaging partners to understand current and future distribution needs
  • Define standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize deployment efficiency
  • Set and manage operational and financial OKRs and KPIs — tracking on-time delivery, transit times, inventory accuracy, and cost — and act on the data to resolve bottlenecks and operational risks
  • Analyze inventory and performance metrics to surface trends, opportunities, and risks, and run root-cause analysis on 3PL discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and best practices that streamline global warehouse operations and support the tools and systems used to track, analyze, and report on inventory
  • Partner across finance, planning, and fulfillment to prioritize initiatives and scale operational management practices into new regions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience managing outsourced transportation logistics services
  • Hands-on working experience with logistics management systems
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, such as influencing partners, organizations, successful mentoring and supporting the growth of other employees and teams
  • 7+ years of experience in global logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, with demonstrated experience delivering operational outcomes
  • Operational experience at a logistics provider and distribution experience
  • Experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and drive optimal supply chain execution, including standardizing data analysis across cross-functional partners (e.g., finance, planning, fulfillment)
  • Experience driving continuous improvement, standardization, and implementation of processes and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Understanding of relational databases and ERP systems (Oracle or similar), plus MS Access, Excel, and Project
  • Track record leading initiatives across a geographically distributed, cross-functional environment with a high degree of ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or MBA
  • Experience in logistics operations in a global, high-growth environment
  • Experience with the import/export environment of 3PL/carrier operations
