As a Part-Time Lead Math Instructor / Tutor, you’ll be part of the founding team of our brand-new Delaware center. In addition to working directly with students, you’ll help support and guide our instructor team during learning sessions.

What You’ll Do
As a Lead Math Instructor / Tutor, you’ll provide individualized math instruction while helping support our instructor team and the overall flow of learning sessions.
- Teach students using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
- Deliver individualized instruction in a small-group setting
- Lead by example and coach and support Math Instructors / Tutors during learning sessions
- Help newer instructors become comfortable with instructional methods, curriculum, and center procedures
- Support center leadership in coordinating instructors and maintaining an effective learning environment
- Monitor student progress, engagement, and participation
- Help ensure students receive consistent, high-quality instruction
- Communicate student progress, accomplishments, and concerns to center leadership
- Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and energetic learning environment
- Become proficient with Mathnasium’s digital educational materials and processes
What We’re Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong math skills and comfort teaching math through at least Algebra II
- A genuine passion for math and helping students succeed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working with students across a range of grade levels
- Dependability, maturity, and the ability to serve as a positive example for other instructors
- Ability to balance instructional and leadership responsibilities
- A collaborative, team-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn
- Availability during our after-school operating hours and potentially Sundays
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or leadership experience is a plus
Previous Mathnasium experience is a plus, but absolutely not required. We provide comprehensive training and are looking for someone with strong math skills, leadership potential, dependability, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
As part of our hiring process, applicants will complete a math literacy assessment to demonstrate math proficiency.
