About this role
1. System Architecture: Design and develop advanced hydraulic circuits (Open/Closed loop,
Load-Sensing/Positive Control/Negative Control) specifically mated to variable-speed PMSM
motors.
2. Component Selection: Lead the selection of proprietary high-efficiency variable
displacement pumps, control valves, actuators, and accumulators.
3. Performance Optimization: Calculate and simulate hydraulic flow requirements to ensure
seamless synergy with motor controllers, focusing on energy saving.
4. EV Specific Design: Implement hydraulic coupling strategies for traction and working
motors to increase overall machine efficiency by targeting peak motor efficiency zones.
5. NPI Leadership: Drive the full New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle from conceptual 3D
modeling (Creo/SolidWorks) to prototype testing, validation, and field trials in harsh mining
environments.
6. Reliability & Failure Analysis: Conduct DFMEA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and more.
Requirements
Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from a reputed institution.
Experience: Minimum 8 years in heavy equipment hydraulic design (Excavators/Loaders) with a
proven track record of successful product launches.
Software Proficiency: Highly Skilled
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of electro-hydraulic systems, CAN-bus communication,
and motor-pump integration.
Industry Context: Familiarity with the Indian construction equipment landscape and global
sustainability trends.
