Description of Responsibilities
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is responsible for the preparation of standard and specialty instruments for the operating room. The SPT is responsible for sorting, inspecting for damage, general maintenance, ensuring sterility and assembly of instruments according to scheduled surgeries. The SPT is also responsible for packaging/wrapping instruments for the ASC, operate and troubleshoot specialized cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
This position generally works four days per week Monday-Thursday 6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Flexibility in schedule is needed from time to time in order to meet business goals and provide exceptional patient service.

Experience Requirements
Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrated ability to speak clearly and concisely using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to navigate multiple databases is required.
Educational Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Operating Room Instrument Sterilization experience preferred
• Sterile field awareness preferred

Pay Range
Sterile Processing Technician I: $16.63 - $24.33 (1-4 years experience)
Sterile Processing Technician II: $23.00 - $29.19 (5-10 years experience)
Sterile Processing Technician III: $26.45 - $33.46 (10+ years experience)
Typical Physical Demands
Requires normal range of vision and hearing. Work may require standing for long periods of time; also stooping, bending, reaching and lifting. Requires manual dexterity to operate a variety of medical equipment. Occasionally lifting over 25 pounds.
