Job Responsibilities:
- Responds to customer (user) calls concerning personal computers, touch screens, printers, etc.
- Sets up new personal computers.
- Performs preventative maintenance on personal computers.
- Distributes new personal computers to users, ensuring all appropriate software and logins are functional.
- Contacts vendors for support and resolution of issues.
- Maintains an acceptable attendance record and works overtime as required.
- Participates in resolution of computer system problems (hardware or software) as the need arises.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Participates in department meetings.
- Completes documentation of activities as required.
- Submits cost reduction and innovation ideas.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Preferred: Two years applied experience related to essential functions.
- Required: Hardware experience encompassing networking; Ethernet and LAN, PCs, plotters and printers (laser & thermal).
- Software – Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, Autocad.
- Must have good problem solving skills. Must have good math skills.
- Must have excellent computer skills.
- Must work well with others. Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and have a high tolerance for stressful situations.
- Must have strong understanding of business systems.
- Required: A.S. degree or technical degree with related experience
- Preferred: B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS or equivalent
