Job Title: Senior
District Sales Manager
Job
Description:
MACOM
Technology Solutions, a leader in RF and optical semiconductor components, is
seeking an experienced DSM (District Sales Manager) or Sr. DSM to drive sales
in NC, VA, WV, DC and MD area. The DSM/Sr. DSM will be focused on driving
MACOM’s solutions across customers in the assigned territory. The ideal
candidate will have at least 5-10 years of experience selling into the
aerospace and military defense, commercial communications, or Satcom markets in
the assigned territory. They will have a strong technical background with a
proven track record of securing multimillion-dollar deals, particularly with RF
semiconductor components and systems.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned territory while managing and growing sales with customers in the RF/Microwave industry.
- Develop and execute account plans to drive engagement and ensure MACOM's technology solutions are incorporated into customers’ bids and proposals.
- Work closely with the customer’s procurement and engineering teams to understand upcoming projects and design in MACOM for new opportunities.
- Understand the customers program technical and commercial needs and able to communicate their needs within MACOM.
- Utilize our CRM system for accurate forecasting and opportunity pipeline management.
- Collaborate with MACOM’s internal sales, applications engineering, and product teams to offer solutions that meet the customer's technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with direct customers, manufacturers’ representatives, and distribution partners.
- Implement sales methodologies, particularly the Challenger Sale, to drive consultative selling and add value to customer interactions.
- Travel 50% of the time within the assigned territory, covering accounts in the NC, VA, WVA, DC and MD area of the US.
- Support trade shows or meetings within or outside assigned territory.
Qualifications:
- At least 5-10 years of sales experience in the aerospace and defense, commercial communications or satcom markets.
- Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.
- Strong technical background in RF design or testing desired. Optical systems experience a plus.
- Proven experience in negotiating and securing multimillion-dollar deals.
- Demonstrated success managing accounts and servicing manufacturers’ representatives or distribution partners.
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of independently managing projects and driving results in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
- Understanding of Aerospace procurement processes and bidding strategies is helpful.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related technical discipline required.
- Experience in MS office and CRM tools to drive forecasting and opportunity management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
