Overview:

The Rough Grader is responsible for inspecting and grading used truck tires prior to final processing. This role ensures that tires meet company quality standards by identifying defects and determining whether they qualify as usable products. Graders are trained to evaluate truck tire life and condition accurately. This individual will also sort truck tires by grade and maintain accurate inventory counts. This is a physically demanding position performed in all weather conditions and requires handling heavy truck tires.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload truck tires from trucks
  • Inspect and determine the “grade” of used truck tires based on condition and usability
  • Sort truck tires by grade and maintain accurate inventory tracking
  • Move and handle large, heavy truck tires throughout the yard or facility
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect truck tires accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
  • Must have steel toe boots

Experience:

  • Prior experience in tire recycling, trucking, warehouse, or industrial environment is preferred but not required
