What you’ll do
Machine Availability & Reliability Leadership
- Own and drive machine availability and reliability performance across designated product lines.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards, scorecards, and executive-level reporting.
- Monitor uptime, downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and reliability trends to identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
Cross-Functional Program Management
- Partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Process Engineering, Product Support, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain organizations.
- Drive cross-functional action plans to address reliability issues impacting customer productivity.
- Facilitate technical reviews and align stakeholders on priorities, schedules, ownership, and execution plans.
Reliability Improvement & Problem Solving
- Provide supporting data to drive structured root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Identify recurring failure mechanisms and coordinate long-term corrective actions with engineering teams.
- Influence product design, serviceability, maintainability, and operational improvements that positively impact customer uptime.
Customer & Executive Engagement
- Communicate program status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Prepare and deliver executive-ready presentations summarizing availability performance and key initiatives.
- Support customer-facing reviews and escalations related to equipment reliability and productivity when required.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, Reliability Engineering, Product Support, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional programs in semiconductor equipment, manufacturing, or other highly technical industries.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience driving programs and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of equipment reliability, maintainability, and performance improvement methodologies.
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action processes, FMEA, 8D, or similar problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience developing data-driven dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI, Tableau, JMP, SQL, or equivalent analytics platforms.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with hardware, process, manufacturing, and customer support engineering teams.
- Experience with WETS, electroplating, electrochemical deposition, or other wet process semiconductor equipment.
- Familiarity with copper plating and advanced packaging process technologies.
- Experience supporting global semiconductor manufacturing customers.
- Background in machine availability, field reliability, customer escalations, or installed-base performance improvement programs.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
