We are currently seeking applications for a KHP HVAC Service Technician. This position will manage a major program branch in the maintenance of buildings, facilities, project management, and mechanical maintenance.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong work ethic, work well with a team and be highly motivated to get the job done.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Upon employment, employees in this job classification may be required to maintain a valid driver's license and may be required to drive a licensed vehicle. This status may be necessary for the length of time in this job classification. If this is necessary, it will be listed in the specific position description for the position at issue. Applicants and employees in this job classification may be required to submit to a drug- screening test and background check. Applicants and employees in positions which perform job duties that may require contact with offenders in the custody or supervision of the Department of Corrections or with youth in the care, custody, or supervision of the Department of Juvenile Justice must meet qualifications pursuant to the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act, 28 C.F.R.115.17 and 115.317

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversees the repair of down equipment including, but not limited to, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC repairs
- Plans work in the Mechanical Maintenance and Operations Branch
- Daily watches the Automated Logic system looking for and responding to equipment alarms
- Checks and assigns work orders pertaining to repairs and operations of equipment
- Supervises and inspects the work of contractors in Mechanical Maintenance
- Other duties as assigned or needed

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
NONE
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration,
ventilation, or electrical systems.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for
the experience on a year-for-year basis.

NONE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):
Incumbents working in this job title are required to lift heavy objects, bend,
stoop and have good manual and finger dexterity.
Working Conditions
Incumbents in the job will typically perform their job duties under these
conditions.
May be required to take care of emergency repairs twenty-four hours a day.
