Description
The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long-term care facility located in
beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence,
preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.
We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Medication Aide, who possesses the skills and desires to care for Kentucky’s Veterans. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment.
We offer flexible scheduling and holiday, weekend and shift premiums.
Key Responsibilities:
This agency is prohibited from hiring employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190. A fingerprint- supported national background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment.
This position, in Hopkins county has an approved Locality Premium of $10.09 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

- Prepares, administers and charts medications and treatments.
- Performs medical treatments under supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Takes temperatures, pulses and respiration and records on patient’s chart.
- Participates in treatment team meetings and provides first aide for minor injuries.

Working Conditions

Probationary Period
