For KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA we are looking for a dedicated Working Student (m/f/d) in the field of phytopathology / entomology with immediate effect, ideally for 6 months or longer. The main place of work is Einbeck (Lower Saxony, Germany). The position is part-time (20 hours per week) during the lecture period and ideally full-time (38 hours per week) during the lecture-free period. Your tasks:

  • Support the planning and execution of laboratory trials with a focus on insect resistance and vector-borne diseases in arable crops
  • Data collection and processing
  • Supervise and support insect breeding projects
  • Support the execution of field trials
  • Conduct research on insect rearing and compile information for internal and external communication purposes
  • Support general activities in phytopathology / entomology

 

Your profile:

  • You are a Bachelor's or Master's student (m/f/d) in agricultural or natural sciences and have at least 1 year (2 semesters) until graduation
  • You have a good knowledge of written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage and a valid Class B driver’s license
  • You are interested in entomological topics and practical work with plants and insects
  • You are reliable and have a proactive, independent and self reliant way of working
  • Ideally, residence in the Einbeck/Göttingen area or the willingness to regularly work on site 
  • You have solid knowledge of Office 365
