Make a difference as a Flying Probe Programmer

As a Flying Probe Programmer at Krypton Solutions, you will create and refine test programs that verify PCBAs through in-circuit and functional testing, helping ensure product quality before shipment. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Programing flying probe machines to perform in-circuit and functional testing of PCBAs.
  • Developing, loading, and optimizing programs for new builds, supporting root-cause investigations for failures, and keeping accurate documentation of procedures, results, and corrective actions to meet IPC, ISO, and customer requirements
  • Analyzing test outcomes to pinpoint defects, and sharing clear feedback with production and engineering
  • Interpreting test results, identifying defects, and providing feedback to production and engineering teams.
  • Performing routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Collaborating with design and process engineers to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Documenting test procedures, results, and corrective actions in compliance with quality standards.
  • Training junior technicians and operators on flying probe machine usage and safety protocols.

What we're looking for in a Flying Probe Programmer

To thrive as a Flying Probe Programmer at Krypton Solutions, attention to detail is critical, as you will be creating programs designed to meticulously inspect products to identify defects. Ideally, candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Flying Probe Machines (e.g., SPEA, Takaya, Keysight).
  • Strong knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes and test methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CAD data, schematics, and test program generation.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic circuits and components.
  • Understanding of ESD precautions and electronics manufacturing standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with ICT (In-Circuit Testing) and functional test systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume production environments.
  • Familiarity with MES/ERP systems for test data logging.
