Arabian Business, the leading source of business, economic, and financial news in the Middle East, is looking for a freelance reporter to join our team in Dubai Media City. This is an in-office role.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious journalist looking to build a name in the region's top business newsroom. If you are sharp, proactive, and obsessed with digital media, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitch, report, and write accurate breaking news, and business features daily in both English.

  • Turn complex business stories and corporate announcements into clear copy.

  • Represent Arabian Business at events and provide real-time digital reporting.

  • Review corporate filings and financial data to explain economic trends simply without the jargon.

  • Collaborate with our digital and social team to support video packages, podcasts, and newsletters.

KEY SKILLS

  • Proven reporting experience in a fast-paced news publication.

  • Good understanding of GCC market dynamics and regional business trends.

  • Good writing skills with the ability to craft sharp, engaging headlines and concise hooks that drive digital traffic.

  • Familiarity with digital publishing tools like WordPress along with SEO best practices.

  • Strong understanding of domestic media laws and international press ethics.
