We're looking for a skilled and energetic Fireplace Installer to help homeowners create the perfect setting with top-quality fireplace installations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love working with your hands, this is the job for you! 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Installation of fireplaces per manufacturer specifications and local codes
  • Servicing and repairing fireplaces (troubleshooting with manufacturers tech teams to diagnose issues and remedy properly)
  • Communicating with customers to arrange service calls and installs
  • Ordering and receiving fireplaces and fireplace parts
  • Managing fireplace inventory and staging orders
  • Communicating with suppliers and customers to update them on order status and lead times
  • Keeping work trucks clean and orderly
  • Managing paperwork for all fireplace related jobs in collaboration with office manager
  • Keeping up with email and software systems on a daily basis
  • Jobsite clean-up after completion of installation.
  • Installing products to manufacturer specifications.
  • Following state code enforcement
  • Proper care and use of tools
  • Submitting installation photos to supervisor.
  • Complete provided educational training is needed.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards.
  • Retain DOT Medical Examination Card.
  • Report installation and final setbacks to the supervisor
  • Complete labor detail sheets weekly.
  • Complete ladder check daily in monthly.
  • Safely and securely load material and tools. 

 

Role Requirements: 

  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ability to perform computer data entry with proficiency
  • Maintain a valid Class E driver’s license
  • Knowledge of installing or repairing gas, wood-burning, or pellet fireplaces is a plus
  • Experience in finish Carpentry or residential construction is helpful and preferred
     

Physical Demands

The role of a Fireplace Installer/ Service Tech requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks on rooftops, in crawl spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.
