About this role

As Mechanical Engineer Intern you are part of the Costumer Engineering Team and are responsible for design of new containerized gas engines powerplant units. You work in close contact with the Project Management and Manufacturing Teams and support as well our sub-suppliers.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Support of Mechanical engineering of gas engines power plant package, based on the customer requests
  • Creation and modifications of simple 3D & drawings of piping systems and steel structures 
  • Creation and modifications of BOM’s
  • Work on continuous improvements and process optimizing
  • Supporting Item Activation Process with design engineering input
  • Improving part descriptions in PLM & ERP system

Your profile:

  • Active studies in Mechanical Engineering or similar specialization
  • Minimum commitment to the position for 1-2 years
  • Knowledge in CAD design software, especially in CATIA 
  • Knowledge of Windchill PLM system is a plus
  • Independent work, initiative, ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to develop in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent language skills in English, German is a plus
