About This Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to help design, build, optimize, and support the data platforms that drive critical business decisions across the organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full data lifecycle, from developing new solutions and enhancing existing pipelines to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of production environments. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver robust data solutions that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational needs.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset and is comfortable balancing project-based development work with operational support responsibilities.
Fluent or advanced English is required for daily communication with our international teams.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Design and develop data warehouse, analytics, and reporting solutions using SQL Server and Azure technologies.
- Partner with business intelligence and reporting teams to create solutions that drive measurable business value.
- Develop and maintain database objects, stored procedures, functions, and data structures that support enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Build, optimize, and support ETL/ELT processes using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and related technologies.
- Create automated and reusable data integration solutions across multiple systems and platforms.
- Develop, test, and maintain applications and backend interfaces that support business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Build analytical prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions based on business requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of data platforms and applications.
- Implement automation, source control, and CI/CD deployment practices to improve efficiency and maintainability.
- Promote quality through testing, validation, and support of user acceptance testing activities.
- Provide production support for enterprise data platforms, including incident investigation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, issue resolution, and participation in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure the reliability and availability of critical business systems.
- Collaborate with DBAs, developers, support teams, and external vendors to ensure timely resolution of system challenges.
- Support disaster recovery readiness and validate data platform resiliency.
- Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve data engineering capabilities.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective data solutions.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of overall IT experience, including 5-7 years as a Data Engineer in a large enterprise environment.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, including orchestration and transformation capabilities.
- Proficiency with Azure Data Factory and modern cloud-based data integration solutions.
- Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Pentaho, or similar platforms.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational monitoring.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL methodologies, and data architecture principles.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience analyzing complex business systems, databases, and enterprise application environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within DataOps environments.
- Experience supporting business-critical Azure data platforms.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and incident management practices.
- Experience in large-scale or highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of cloud security and infrastructure best practices.
