Job Title: Financial Reporting Analyst
Department/Function: Finance
Job Purpose
The Analyst – Finance will be based in Mumbai and will support the Retail Banking business unit. This role is responsible for preparing and delivering accurate financial analyses, projections, and capital adequacy calculations to aid strategic decision-making. The role holder will maintain the MIS system, generate periodic analytical reports, and collaborate with various functions to provide financial insights. Additionally, the role involves performing ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by senior management.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and publish financial results in compliance with LODR (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements).
- Review IGAAP financial statements and notes to accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate closure of books of accounts.
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors to support audit processes.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets of the entity.
- Supervise accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Ensure completeness and correctness of securitization-related accounting transactions (Direct Assignment and PTC).
- Implement internal financial controls related to finalization of accounting statements.
- Ensure compliance with RBI/NHB and Companies Act regulations in finalizing accounts.
- Review various source systems and highlight discrepancies or issues.
- Support treasury back-office activities.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to budgetary controls for both operating and capital expenditures.
- Maintain and update the accounting manual.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and MIS reporting.
- Ability to manage audits and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
- Familiarity with treasury operations and securitization accounting.
Education
Graduation: Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Business & Insurance (BBI) / Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
Post-Graduation: Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Master of Commerce (M.com) / Master of Arts (MA)
Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience – 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
