We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President, Finance NFR (Non-Financial Risk).

 

Purpose of role:

  • The purpose of this role is for the role holder to lead and manage a high-performing team, and leads delivery of change across Finance relating to NFR Policy, Procedures and Helios. The role holder will act as Finance’s key interface with ERM, representing Finance in change and governance forums, translating requirements into implementable actions, and coordinating rollout and adoption across Finance. This includes actively supporting 1LOD teams and NFR leads with interpretation, implementation planning, communications and training to ensure changes are embedded consistently in BAU.
  • In parallel, the role owns Finance’s Strategic Execution Risk activity and provides senior team leadership to drive transformation, automation and capacity creation. The role will lead deep-dives into material issues to drive root-cause remediation and systemic fixes, and will manage Finance engagement for New Product Due Diligence (NPDD) to ensure risks, controls and readiness requirements are appropriately assessed, challenged and documented.

 

Principal responsibilities:

 

  • Act as the primary Finance liaison to ERM for NFR change, governance and implementation updates, representing Finance on relevant forums.
  • Lead Finance 1LOD change for NFR policy/procedure/Helios updates, including impact assessment, rollout planning, communications, training and embedding into BAU.
  • Support 1LOD teams and NFR leads with consistent interpretation and implementation, providing practical guidance, materials and on-the-ground problem solving.
  • Own and drive Strategic Execution Risk for Finance, including RCA oversight, MI, governance updates and thematic risk management.
  • Conduct deep-dive reviews into material issues/incidents, ensuring robust root-cause analysis, action plans and closure discipline, and lead/coordinate Finance NPDD activity. Training facilitation on risk and control topics.
  • Lead transformation and AI/automation initiatives to reduce manual effort, simplify MI and create capacity by removing non-value-added activity.
  • Manage and develop the team (hiring, coaching, performance management, training) and build a strong delivery culture.

 

To be successful you will:

  • Proven Finance Risk & Controls experience in a large financial services organization, including RCA ownership, SOX, issues/actions management and senior governance reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Accounting, Reconciliations and Financial/Regulatory/Treasury Reporting, with practical understanding of end-to-end Finance control points.
  • Experience implementing and embedding policy/procedure or control framework change across Finance, including adoption tracking and audit-ready evidence.
  • Working knowledge of Helios (or equivalent Governance, Risk and Compliance platform) for controls, issues and MI, with strong data quality and governance discipline.
  • Track record of delivering automation/MI simplification to reduce manual effort and improve insight.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, business writing and effective presentation skills. Good business writing skills. Should have eye for detail and problem solving and influencing skills.
  • Ability to challenge information presented, providing reasoned explanation to ensure that agreement is reached by both parties.
