We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Regulatory Data and Analytics Manager
As Regulatory Data and Analytics Manager, you’ll own data and analytics remediation across Regulatory and Tax Reporting, ensuring business-critical outputs are underpinned by accurate, consistent and well-governed data. This role is a key dependency for closing several material regulatory issues and improving reporting integrity across the portfolio. You’ll identify and resolve data inaccuracies end-to-end, strengthening controls, governance and transparency of data lineage. Working with a high degree of independence, you’ll provide objective oversight and constructive challenge across reporting processes and submissions. Success means clearer executive insight, measurable improvements in data quality and a stronger evidence base for internal governance and regulatory engagement.
As an HSBC employee in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man (CIIOM) you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all employees, enhanced parental and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a non-contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.
In this role you’ll:
- Set the end-to-end data and analytics strategy for external reporting
- Develop analytical dashboards and MI that support senior decision-making
- Translate complex data into clear insights for executive stakeholders and governance forums
- Own identification of data anomalies, inconsistencies and trends then provide root cause analysis and remediation actions
- Strengthen data lineage across reporting processes through review, challenge and targeted improvements
- Establish robust data controls, validation processes and governance standards across the reporting portfolio
- Track and report data quality metrics, issues and remediation progress to senior stakeholders and governance forums
- Coordinate accurate, well-evidenced responses to regulatory queries with Regulatory Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Bring strong experience in data, analytics, regulatory reporting or risk and governance roles
- Evidence a proven track record of identifying and remediating data quality issues in complex environments
- Apply advanced analytical capability across data interrogation, trend analysis and root cause investigation
- Use data tools and visualisation platforms such as Excel, Power BI or Tableau to produce clear MI and insight
- Demonstrate understanding of data governance, controls and data quality frameworks
- Influence and challenge senior stakeholders to improve reporting integrity and control outcomes
- Communicate complex findings clearly for executive-level audiences and governance materials
- Operate with independence, sound judgement and accountability when making recommendations and escalating issues
Opening a world of opportunity.
