Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the translation of the sales forecast into an attainable production plan consistent with specified company operational and financial goals, including the release for production orders to the factory based on sales orders, the analyzation of stock levels, work in process and anticipated business forecast and the assignment of customers due dates

  • Assist in creating procedures for developing a production schedule and tracking, and reporting work orders across two ERP platforms
  • Ability to use critical thinking and analyzation for anticipated business forecast and for the assignment of customer due dates
  • Release jobs to the floor and conduct work order transactions
  • Liaison with customer service; help resolve customer service part inquiries with follow-ups, expediting orders, and providing past dues recovery plan
  • Able to validate customer and forecasted demand
  • Set priorities at shop floor to ensure department goals are met
  • Revise and adjust production planning schedule
  • Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes.
  • Plans and schedules workflow for each process operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations with the guidance of production workers.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
  • Reconciles conflicting objectives in the M.P.S. in order to ensure customer service, acceptable inventory levels, and maximizes production efficiency
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Interface with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales & shop personnel as required
  • Update and maintain accurate planning information in ERP System

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain
•    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Planning role in a manufacturing environment  
•    Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
•    This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee


Preferred Qualifications
•    APICS certification highly desired
•    Previous experience in Aerospace manufacturing setting preferred.  
Benefits/Salary:
The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $88,000.
