About this role

You will report directly to our Director Materials Management, and work from one of the following locations: Houston, TX, Rosemont, IL, Mobile, AL, Charlotte, NC or Shreveport, LA on a Hybrid work schedule.

The Materials Management Lead will play a critical role in the successful implementation of Project Helix, Honeywell’s SAP S4 HANA ERP platform. The scope includes Master Production Scheduling in Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS), clear to build, schedule attainment, WIP management, capacity planning, and inventory planning. 

The successful candidate must demonstrate an advanced understanding of both make and buy part master data elements. Including: BOMs (Variant Config Planning BOMs), routings and specific planning parameters relating to capacity planning and scheduling, Work Centers including scheduling formulas and shift patterns, utilization and efficiency metrics, and material masters. 

Translating S4 process and terminology to clear business improvement outcomes is paramount. The “why we are doing this,” and which planning and business metric does it affect must be clearly understood. This is a business process improvement opportunity, not an IT role. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as a primary business and process translator for the S4 HANA project. 
  • Convert business operational and planning requirements into standardized, scalable SAP S4 HANA solutions.
  • Lead as is and to be process mapping, including gap identification and closure.
  • Lead design decisions and functional testing including UAT in S4 and PPDS. 
  • Align planning process and functionality with the Honeywell operating model.
  • Partner with all functional stakeholders and align design decisions
  • Lead master data cleanliness and readiness to improve MRP results and implement PPDS

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Advanced SAP ERP Production Planning knowledge in manufacturing environments including ERP implementation, or transformation experience. 
  • Advanced knowledge of material planning processes and key master data elements. 
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable presenting data and process to demonstrate and solve problems.  
  • Strong knowledge of materials management, operations, inventory management, procurement logistics, and manufacturing. 
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • PPDS implementation and practical use is an added advantage. An ability to successfully demonstrate work center and routing cleansing and importance to MRP and capacity planning is essential.

  • Experience with S4 Hana
  • Experience with ERP implementation
  • Experience with Kinaxis or other advanced planning system
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of sourcing, procurement strategies, and supplier management
  • APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPE certification or similar preferred.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, Agile, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers to achieve business objectives.
