Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, techno-commercial proposals, and bid documentation for: 
    • LV/MV Switchgear systems
    • Transformers (including MV Transformers)
    • Ring Main Units (RMU)
    • Power Distribution Units (PDU)
    • Related electrical infrastructure for industrial and datacenter applications
  • Analyze customer specifications, BOQs, drawings, and tender documents
  • Perform costing, vendor evaluation, and risk analysis
  • Support proposal development, bid strategies, and value engineering
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, sales, and project teams
  • Participate in technical discussions with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with regional and international electrical standards and certifications
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimation tools and processes

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of: 
    • Electrical distribution systems (LV/MV)
    • Switchgear, transformers, RMUs, PDUs
  • Working knowledge of: 
    • Building Management Systems (BMS)
    • HVAC systems (basic integration awareness)
  • Exposure to or understanding of: 
    • Datacenter infrastructure (preferred/optional) 
      • Power redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N)
      • Critical power distribution
  • Familiarity with global electrical standards and certifications such as: 
    • IEC, IEEE, ANSI, UL, CE, etc.
  • Ability to review and interpret: 
    • Single line diagrams (SLD)
    • Schematics and layouts
    • Specifications and datasheets

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2 to 8 years of experience in: 
    • Proposal engineering / estimation
    • Electrical system costing and bid preparation
  • Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or datacenter projects is an advantage

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech – Electrical)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with datacenter projects
  • Exposure to global project execution environments
  • Knowledge of estimation tools / ERP systems

 

 

Your role will also include overseeing, supervising, and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end-to-end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and guidance to team members on assigned tasks; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success.
