Centra Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to helping individuals regain their independence and return to the lives they love following an injury or illness.

How you'll contribute 

A Cook who excels in this role:

  • Prepares and serves meals according to established schedules, recipes, and dietary standards; ensures proper seasoning, quality, and presentation.
  • Collaborates with the Registered Dietitian regarding modified and therapeutic diets, as needed.
  • Provides direction and oversight to Nutritional Services staff during food preparation activities, including washing, trimming, and portioning.
  • Measures and mixes ingredients according to approved recipes using a variety of commercial food-service equipment, including blenders, mixers, grinders, and slicers.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment while following all infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Prior food/cooking service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
