Job Summary:

The Corporate Accountant is a key contributor to operations of the corporate accounting function, property accounting, and treasury components of the organization.  This individual will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate reporting for multiple corporate entities, accounting for both HVG-owned hotels, treasury processing and analytics, and other projects as assigned. 

Key Responsibilities:

    Accountability for the month end close cycle for all corporate entities and hotels to include:

  • Journal Entries
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Financials

    Sales and use tax filings

    Review and process treasury requests to include voice verification of wires and ACH’s

    Providing annual reporting and ad hoc requests to external tax accountants

    Perform analytics related to cash, procurement, bank fees, and other items as assigned

    Complete all other duties as assigned

Desired Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

    1-3 years of experience in accounting or real estate accounting preferred

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commensurate experience

    Treasury experience to include familiarity with online banking platforms

    Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong prioritization of customer service

    Organized and detail-oriented

    Yardi software experience is a plus

    Comfortable in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

    Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with various internal and external parties

    Has a “can do” productive and self‐motivated attitude

    Flexible and adaptive in a fast‐paced and dynamic environment
