What You'll Do

As Team Leader, you’ll provide overall interdisciplinary educational service delivery to students in the after-school program including some or all of the following services: academic tutoring/mentoring, enrichment programming, enhanced academic support, social skills coaching, educational coordination, and inclusive recreation activities. You’ll lead the team in delivery of a comprehensive after-school program of on-site and/or community-based education services including academic assessment/tutoring, educational counseling, delivery of at-risk pedagogic services, and linkages with educational services and supportive programs in order to ensure that our students receive the maximum benefit from their participation in our programs. Your primary goal will be the successful and innovative academic achievement of our students in the after-school program and the enhancement of their educational self-sufficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of quality and appropriate services to students through academic instruction, school conferences, parent meetings, individualized intervention, and coursework assessments.
  • Identifying educational and service delivery gaps, and developing appropriate service interventions and strategies.
  • Reviewing all student assignments and academic reports and ensuring follow-up on all findings.
  • Identifying and documenting student development issues and ensuring student completion of school-mandated courses work, core curriculum, and other indicated assignments.
  • Part-Time Position (maximum 20 hours per week).

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field preferred; candidates currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Education or a related field will be considered.
  • Supervisory experience in an educational setting is highly desired.
  • Knowledge and understanding of team concepts, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Computer literate specifically with Microsoft applications required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Compensation

Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage, prevailing wage, or exempt salary requirements under federal, state and local laws.
