About this role
We are looking for an AI Product Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer with 0–3 years of experience to own features end-to-end while working directly with enterprise customers to translate their needs into shipped product. You'll be joining a 17-person YC-backed team that invented the voice agent QA category, deploys 4x/day, and is scaling rapidly into Fortune 100 accounts.
About Hamming AI
Hamming AI is the complete trust platform for voice agents — from pre-deployment testing through red-teaming to production monitoring. Three pillars: simulation (thousands of synthetic calls before launch), red-teaming (adversarial agents probing for jailbreaks, prompt injection, PII leaks), and observability (trace what actually happened on a live call). We run on top of LiveKit, Pipecat, Retell, Vapi, ElevenLabs, etc.
Scale today: 10M+ production voice agent calls analyzed, 10K+ agents tested. Customers across regulated verticals (healthcare, financial services, telecom). Top-100 banks in production. Capital-efficient, real revenue, not a pre-PMF bet.
Why Hamming: Voice AI is one of the hottest application categories in AI. Hamming sits at the picks-and-shovels layer — every voice agent team needs evals, nobody wants to build that infra themselves. Engineering culture is small, senior-heavy, low-procrastination, ships fast. Founder writes code. Ranked #1 eng team on Weave for 6+ months. Sufficiently early that you actually get to build the future, late enough that you have real customers, real load, and real money.
What will you be doing?
Interface daily with enterprise customers (technical engineers building voice agents) to understand gaps, then spec and ship the solution yourself — no handoffs
Own product features end-to-end: discovery → prototype → ship → iterate, across frontend and backend
Support POC and post-sales customer success for enterprise accounts, acting as a high-agency technical partner
Turn complex customer feedback into reusable Hamming platform capabilities — solve the problem fast, then productize it
Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Codex) as a core part of your daily workflow to ship at startup speed
Key Requirements
AI-native workflow — you actively use Cursor, Claude, or Codex daily and can demonstrate it concretely
Strong product and design sense — ability to take a vague customer ask and translate it into a crisp, shippable feature without a detailed spec
Comfortable and effective in customer-facing interactions with technical stakeholders (engineers, not just PMs)
Ability to ship — proficient in TypeScript and Python; you write and own the code, not just the spec
Degree from one of the 18 target universities listed in the Paraform brief (hard requirement)
What happens next
Skip the application pile. I get you in front of the people who decide.
