About the role
- This role will report to Lab System & Data Manager and will be responsible for supporting lab transformation to agreed consumer healthcare sites aligned with the agreed business processes and to ensure the Lab systems operating model is compliant to the QMS and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Support Tech Team and work with the sites to support digital solution deployment such as eLN, LES, ePlanning and SLIMS
- Build system capability and deliver core training to the Laboratory Super Users on sites.
- Support the harmonization and standardization of laboratory business processes across sites to enable consistent digital deployment and ways of working.
- Lead the definition and alignment of standardized laboratory data models, master data structures and data governance principles across lab systems.
- Partner with Quality, Tech, site teams and vendors to translate standardized business processes into compliant system and data requirements.
- Drive cross-site alignment on data definitions, ownership and process standards to improve data quality, scalability, analytics and automation opportunities.
- Identify process and data standardization gaps and support remediation plans to reduce complexity, customization and local variation
- Provide expert advice and support to CH sites on the defined business processes supporting the CH Quality/Tech Strategy, to achieve consistent application of business processes and systems and to share best practice.
- Ensure change to digital solutions (eLN, LES, ePlanning and SLIMS) satisfy compliance requirements and any regulatory constraints.
- Identify opportunities for system improvement to ensure the capability of the system matches the current business needs whilst maintaining the simplification of use.
- Support system deployment by providing the business process and ensuring that the deployed solution is compliant to the global system processes.
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor of Science degree (Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy) (mandatory)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality operations
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Lab systems, Lab data, and the workings of a lab on a day-to-day basis in a GMP environment (Pharma or Consumer Health Care business).
- Understanding and experience in the deployment of key lab digital systems (e.g. QC E-planning, QC Electronic Documentation)
- Ability to support business process harmonization and standardization across sites
- A good understanding of the systems, process and data that enable a lab to operate well.
- Understanding of laboratory data structures, master data, data modelling and data governance principles.
- Experience translating business requirements into system, process and data requirements
- Experience in global projects related to digital laboratory transformation which involved partnering with technical teams and External Vendors/Service Providers.
- Experience in change management and proven skills in managing change in a laboratory environment.
- Good Knowledge of validation standards required to ensure quality standards are met.
- Good organizational and communication skills to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of Laboratory standards and business solutions.
- Good verbal and written communications skills to ensure effective feedback of issues, risks and opportunities so that these are well understood by all parties and that effective actions are put in place.
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Ability to engage with sites and bring them on the change journey.
- Good knowledge of systems validation and compliance required as collaboration with e-compliance teams and Tech teams will be required.
- Coaching and mentoring skills would be preferable.
- Experience in working on cross-functional projects.
- Proven ability to work in a challenging environment.
- Appreciation of, and ability to work across, differing country and company cultures.
- Proven self-starter.
- The role will ensure support is provided to enable swift issue resolution to ensure product continues to flow through the supply chain
