About this role

Responsibilities:

Process Improvement & Compliance  

•            Analyse existing port operations workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and risks in current processes.

•            Establish and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with regulatory and licensing requirements.

•            Review existing licenses and map operational processes to compliance requirements.

•            Identify and address compliance gaps arising from process changes or operational. enhancements.

•            Maintain up-to-date documentation supporting audits, inspections, and license renewals.

•            Plan, facilitate and carry out Control Self Assessment (CSA) verification fieldwork to assess the effectiveness of mitigating controls.

 

Business Continuity Management

•            Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing Business Continuity Plans across port operations.

•            Draft, update, and maintain BCP documentation aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

•            Evaluate the appropriateness and adequacy of the BC strategies.

•            Coordinate and facilitate BCP drills, simulations, and testing exercises.

•            Ensure continuous improvement of BCP through post-incident reviews and lessons learned.

•            Prepare the report for presentation to key stakeholders.

 

Resilience Awareness & Competency Building

•            Implement resilience awareness programs across port operations to strengthen organizational preparedness.

•            Promote a culture of resilience by embedding continuity and risk awareness into daily operations.

•            Assess training effectiveness and continuously enhance learning programs based on feedback, incident reviews, and evolving risks.

 

Requirements:

 

•            Preferably have some exposure to operational risk management, emergency preparedness planning, BCM, crisis management in maritime

•            Possesses extensive knowledge of port operation 

•            Good verbal, presentation and written communication skills

•            Solutions-oriented mindset and flexible thinking, with a bent towards practical solutions

•            Good analytical skills and ability to formulate a strong and coherent narrative in writing.

•            Organised, delivery focused, detail-oriented and can handle multiple tasks concurrently.

•            A strong relationship builder who can engage effectively across diverse groups and manage multiple stakeholders comfortably

•            Proven organisational skills to be able to coordinate cross-functional, regional and virtual teams

•            Methodical; strong in project management
