About Us

We are seeking Marathi Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Marathi, an Indo-Aryan language spoken by over 80 million people in India (primarily Maharashtra) and abroad, is a priority South Asian language often required in immigration and asylum cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time Marathi ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
- Interpret accurately, impartially, and with professionalism in immigration, asylum, and legal contexts.
- Maintain strict confidentiality under USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
- Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation needs.
- Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Marathi and English.
- 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, community, medical, or government strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
