We’re excited to welcome a new Intermediate Environmental Professional (Scientist or Engineer) to our Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador office.
In this role, you’ll be part of an energetic and dynamic team, working on a variety of exciting projects across North America, including a local megaproject. Your contributions will matter as you conduct Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments, monitoring and investigative work, guide clients, and support project management activities. Work alongside skilled professionals in a collaborative and friendly environment.
Who are we looking for?
- Client & Customer Management: Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.
- Community of Practice Management: Participate in a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to begin to build own expertise.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
- Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
- Request for Bid Solicitation/Proposal/Tender Response: Gather information and resources, draft and complete standardized proposals, and fulfill all process requirements (in terms of deadlines, documentation, etc.) in response to bid solicitations, request for proposal, and request for tender to create the best chance of being awarded the contract.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level.
- 5+ years of experience conducting Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments, environmental investigations, monitoring programs, and field-based data collection activities.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and manage environmental and engineering data to support project planning, regulatory compliance, and technical reporting.
- Experience identifying environmental risks and developing practical mitigation strategies to support environmental stewardship and sustainable project outcomes.
- Proficiency using environmental and engineering tools, technologies, and software to support technical analysis, assessments, and project delivery.
- Strong commitment to health and safety, with experience working collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects while managing multiple priorities and client relationships.
