As a Security Control Room Operator, there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in environments such as office towers, hotels, shopping centers, etc.

Responsibilities for a Security Control Room Operator
- Monitor and control access, ensuring only authorized employees, guests, conractors and visitors enter restricted areas.
- Monitor building alarms and secuirty notifications, investigate alerts, and escalate incidents to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct foot patrols to identify potential risks
- Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Control and monitor access credentials, keys, fobs, visitor passes, and other security related assets.
- Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
- Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
- Answer questions in person or by phone
Qualifications for a Security Control Room Operator
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Alberta Security License
- Minimum 1 year control room/disptatch experience
- Previous security concierge experience is an asset
- Strong computer and typing skills, proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with monitoring and operation of video and surveillance systems
- Problem Solving skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
