Overview

We’re looking for a Trainee Advisor / Advisor to join our Catastrophe Modelling team in Mumbai.

You’ll help us assess catastrophe loss potential for insurance and reinsurance portfolios. You’ll work on simple renewals and support senior colleagues on more complex projects.

The work includes preparing and cleaning data, running catastrophe models, and sharing clear summaries of exposure and loss results. You’ll use tools like SQL, Excel, and modelling platforms to help the team deliver accurate, timely work for our clients.


How you'll make an impact

  • Prepare model input data using SQL and Excel.
  • Check, clean, and edit data before analysis.
  • Geocode exposures and make sure model settings are correct.
  • Apply insurance and reinsurance terms accurately.
  • Run catastrophe models for simple renewals and support more complex projects.
  • Use internal tools to create exposure and loss summary reports.
  • Build simple maps and visuals to show results clearly.
  • Carry out model sensitivity checks and note changes in output.
  • Run proprietary modelling work where needed.
  • Share progress updates with senior colleagues and onshore analysts.
  • Raise issues early and ask for guidance when needed.
  • Keep learning new tools, methods, and concepts.
  • Work well with different teams and meet changing deadlines.

About you

Qualifications:

  • University Degree and 06-1 year prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
