About this role

The Junior HR Business Partner will support the LATAM HR team in the day-to-day partnership with leaders and employees across the region. This role will help with employee matters, HR programs, talent processing, and local HR requirements, while building a strong understanding of the business and developing toward a broader HRBP role.

Responsibilities

  • Support managers and employees with day-to-day HR questions and needs.
  • Work closely with the LATAM HR team on employee relations, performance, talent, and organizational matters. 
  • Support onboarding, promotions, internal transfers, compensation changes, leaves, and terminations. 
  • Help coordinate performance reviews, talent discussions, succession planning, and development actions. 
  • Partner with Recruiting, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, and Learning & Development as needed. 
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and culture initiatives. 
  • Follow up on HR actions with managers and make sure deadlines and commitments are completed. 
  • Assist with HR reports, headcount information, turnover data, and other personnel metrics. 
  • Support local HR requirements and help ensure company practices are aligned with local regulations. 
  • Participate in regional HR projects and other initiatives based on business needs. 
  • Build strong relationships with employees and managers and act as a reliable HR point of contact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related area. 
  • Four to five years of HR experience, ideally in an HR Generalist, HR Operations, People Partner, or similar role. 
  • Experience working in a multinational or regional environment is preferred. 
  • Good understanding of core HR processes. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Organized, practical, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. 
  • Comfortable working with HR data, reports, and Excel. 
  • Able to handle confidential information with good judgment. 
  • Strong attention to detail, creative, open-minded, persistent, highly collaborative and passion for and understanding of Fortinet business 
  • Experience working in agile and complex tech industries 
  • English is required. Spanish is a plus.
