Job Description

As a Junior Project Controls Specialist, you will support the Project Controls team in the planning, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of project performance. Working under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will gain exposure to key project controls disciplines, including cost management, planning and scheduling, progress measurement, change management, and project reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals who are eager to build a long-term career in project controls within an international project environment.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with generating, validating, and analyzing project data while maintaining accurate records and audit trails.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Project Coding Structures within Project Controls systems.
  • Prepare and update weekly work plans and schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of:
    • Specialty schedules
    • Monthly progress reports
    • Labor forecasts
    • Cash flow forecasts
    • Project Income Statements
    • Profit recognition activities
  • Facilitate the collection of schedule and cost information from project disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Analyze schedule and cost trends and identify potential risks or performance issues.
  • Support project profit and risk analyses and contribute to management reporting activities.
  • Assist in the management of project changes and change control processes.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of historical project databases and lessons learned.

  • Cost Control and Forecasting

  • Risk Management
  • Client and Internal Reporting
  • Key Quantity Reporting

In addition, you possess:

  • Strong data analysis and validation capabilities.
  • Advanced software skills, including:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Power BI
    • Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6

 

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working with large and complex datasets.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Committed, conscientious, and results-focused
  • Fluent in English is a must 
  • Dutch language skills preferred

Basic Job Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Engineering
  • Construction Management
  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Chemical Technology
  • Business Administration
  • Or a related field
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in engineering, construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or related industries.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
