About this role

We are looking for an AI Native Sales Manager with 8+ years of sales experience and 3+ years of frontline management experience to build, lead, and scale a team of Account Executives selling into the most ambitious GenAI-native companies in the world. Fireworks AI is past $1B ARR, valued at $17.5B, and powers production AI for companies like Cursor, Vercel, and Uber — and the AI Native segment is the fastest-moving part of the business. You won't inherit a team — you'll recruit top reps from your own network, build the playbook from scratch, and get in the deal alongside your AEs as opportunities scale toward eight- and nine-figure production workloads. This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity at a rocketship backed by Sequoia, Benchmark, Lightspeed, and Index Ventures, with uncapped earning potential and a clear path to director-level growth.

What will you be doing?

Hiring and ramping a team of ~8 AI Native AEs from your own network of top-performing reps — building the team from the ground up rather than inheriting one.

Owning and working a territory directly while scaling your team, closing complex deals with technical buyers like CIOs, engineering leaders, and ML founders.

Coaching AEs to lead credible technical conversations around LLM inference, API performance, and model architecture — and stepping into deals as they approach the finish line to help get them closed.

Building and refining the AI Native sales motion end-to-end: from first technical conversation through evaluation, POC, benchmarking, and production-scale revenue.

Partnering cross-functionally with GTM engineering, product, and applied AI to unblock adoption, shape solutions, and translate segment patterns into actionable product feedback.
