Summary:

Cosm is looking for an experienced network administrator to run and support our global, multi-site network infrastructure day to day. You'll own Tier 2 support, monitor and maintain our Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco/Arista switching environment, and be part of the on-call rotation keeping our venues online during live events. Candidates with deeper routing, VRF, or Panorama experience are especially encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:

  • Work with Network Engineer(s), internal teams, and vendors on building and maintaining a new multi-site network infrastructure.
  • Monitor and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls, including reviewing security logs.
  • Manage Cisco or Arista switches, including VLANs, VRFs, and some routing. Experience with CloudVision, a monitoring and management tool for Arista switches, is a plus.
  • Work with VPNs, security protocols, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
  • Be Tier 2 support for networks once implementation is completed.
  • Manage wireless networks, Network Access Control (NAC), and network monitoring.
  • Act as part of the Global Operations team in monitoring the overall network.
  • Travel as needed and participate in rack and stack activities.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Update and maintain network documentation.
  • Available for overtime and weekends, as schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility required.
  • Work during live productions in non-office environments with loud noise levels and busy conditions.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in IT
  • 4+ years of experience working in Network Administration, focusing on management and tier 2 support.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is preferred; candidates without an active CCNA will be required to obtain it within 90 days of hire, with Cosm sponsoring the exam fee; additional certifications in Routing/Switching/Firewalls are a plus.
  • Able to manage, update, and troubleshoot Cisco or Arista switches Palo Alto firewalls, including experience with CloudVision.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, including monitoring and reviewing security logs.
  • Able to manage, update, and troubleshoot Routing/Switching/Wireless networks
  • Willingness to travel and ability to perform physical tasks such as rack and stack.
  • Ability to maneuver around an entertainment venue and walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks; finger dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • Comfortable lifting heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, Rukus, and Arista
  • Experience with network security
  • Familiar with troubleshooting with ISPs
  • Familiar with supporting media and broadcast systems
  • Familiar with live entertainment operations
  • Comfortable running Ansible playbooks or IaC-provisioned configs built by Engineering

Specialties (strong plus, not required of every candidate):

Candidates do not need to check every box below - one area of depth here is a meaningful differentiator, not a baseline expectation:

  • BGP / Layer 3 routing experience beyond basic static routing
  • VRF design/configuration experience (segmentation, not just usage of an existing config)
  • Hands-on Palo Alto/Panorama policy management experience

The annualized salary range for this position in California is $130,000 to $145,000. The base pay offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
