Title: Food and Beverage Supervisor
Reports to: Assistant Director of Food & Beverage/Restaurant Manager/F&B Duty Manager
Direct Reports: F&B Team Leaders, F&B Attendants
Function: The Restaurant Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and lounge venues, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through friendly, professional, and efficient service. This role provides hands-on leadership to front-of-house team members, maintains high service standards, and supports the smooth delivery of breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, and in-room dining services. By anticipating guest needs, fostering a positive team culture, and driving operational excellence, the Supervisor contributes to a welcoming hospitality environment that reflects the hotel's commitment to quality, locally inspired dining, and outstanding guest satisfaction.
Guests can wake up to a boundless breakfast buffet at Gather, or return in the evening to experience our contemporary steakhouse, where the best of Australian produce is showcased in a warm and welcoming setting. Guided by a philosophy of locally sourced ingredients, casually served and socially shared, Gather delivers an elevated yet relaxed dining experience featuring premium steaks, seasonal produce, regional wines, and genuine Hunter Valley hospitality. Key Accountabilities:
• Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house food and beverage operations during evening service.
• Lead, motivate, and support team members to deliver excellent customer service.
• Welcome guests, handle enquiries, and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor service standards, presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies.
• Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance management.
• Manage shift rosters, staff allocations, and break schedules as required.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and end-of-shift reporting.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, workplace health and safety, and responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and communication.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control and ordering processes.
• Support the Restaurant Manager with operational and administrative tasks and perform any other duties as directed.
Skills & Experience:
• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Team Leader, or similar hospitality role.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service standards.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Food Safety certification (desirable).
• Full Australian working rights.
