What's the Role?
We're looking for a Program Manager (IC3), People Strategy to manage key initiatives that make Etsy's people programs work better. This role sits on the People & Workplace team, which means your portfolio of projects varies - from operationalizing a policy change, overseeing a program launch, creating communications and decks for the org etc. The through-line isn't the subject matter — it's your ability to shepherd teams from ambiguous problems to structured solutions. A significant part of the work is discovery: understanding what's broken, who's affected, what's already been tried, and what a meaningful solution looks like. You will collaborate across multiple teams to ensure that solutions are delivered successfully.
This role sits on the People Strategy, Systems and Operations team who are responsible for articulating People & Workplace strategy and for enabling it through our systems, operations and planning processes. We ensure the whole People & Workplace org can effectively enhance the employee experience and achieve strategic organizational goals.

This role reports for the Director, Program Manager.
What does the day-to-day look like?
Drive projects: Support defining program goals, scope, success metrics and timelines and collaborate with various teams to help facilitate delivery of projects and programs.
Create roadmaps: Visualize roadmaps for teams to be able to understand where we’re headed and how they contribute. Help document program timelines, scope, and ownership.
Support cross team collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and optimize communication to support efficient decision making.
Manage up, down and across: Help track progress and ensure regular updates are shared to ensure accountability of the team on deadlines. Escalate issues when needed and assist in removing roadblocks.
Orchestrate change management: Support senior leaders in rolling out changes, ensure proper tracking and communication of milestones, and that programs are eventually integrated into our day to day operations.
Facilitate retrospectives: Assist with post-program evaluation by gathering feedback from stakeholders, measuring progress against goals, and identifying areas for improvement.
Insights and knowledge sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing across the People & Workplace teams to enhance a learning culture and ensure the org is leveraging data, research and insights to inform their work.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
Experience: 4+ years of program management experience, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment, preferably on a People team (knowledge of key HR functions like HR Systems, Compensation & Benefits, People Analytics, Recruiting, Talent Management, Workplace a plus).
Program Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage your and others’ time effectively, and drive programs to completion with guidance across multiple concurrent projects. Must have experience leveraging ai to enhance workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working with a variety of teams and stakeholders to align on program goals and timelines.
Agile change agent: Familiarity with how to support teams during transitions, maintain order through ambiguity and remain flexible through change.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to keep stakeholders informed and aligned. Bonus if you have experience writing employee facing communications or developing learning materials.
Problem-Solving: Able to think critically and proactively identify challenges and solutions on a variety of topics within People & Workplace functions.

Compensation & Benefits
In addition to salary, you'll be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family. Base salary is determined by your location, skills, and experience.
Etsy uses two geographic pay zones to reflect the labor markets where we compete for talent: one called Geo-1, covering the New York City metropolitan area, San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle metropolitan area, and one called Geo-2, covering all other U.S. locations. Salary ranges for this role vary by zone and are listed below.
Location
We prioritize candidates based within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office. Depending on proximity, we ask team members to come in once or twice per week. Remote candidates outside commutable distance may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with the expectation of occasional travel to the office. Salary Range:
• Geo-1: 124,000.00 - 168,000.00 USD Annual
• Geo-2: 111,000.00 - 151,000.00 USD Annual
