About the Role
The SST Product Innovation Team, part of the Office of the CTO, develops the next generation of Enphase power systems. We are seeking a Compliance Lead to drive the compliance and certification strategy for our innovative medium-voltage Solid-State Transformer (SST) products.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of a new technology category where standards are still evolving. You'll help shape compliance strategies, lead certification efforts, influence industry standards, and ensure our products meet global regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
Own the compliance strategy for SST products from concept through certification and market launch.
Identify and interpret applicable safety, performance, and grid interconnection standards.
Navigate gaps, overlaps, and ambiguities across evolving standards and regulations.
Lead certification programs with testing and certification bodies such as UL, Intertek, CSA, and TÜV.
Partner with engineering teams to integrate compliance requirements early in the design process.
Drive pre-compliance and validation testing to reduce certification risk.
Build and maintain technical compliance documentation and knowledge repositories.
Represent Enphase in industry standards organizations, including IEEE, UL, IEC, and OCP, helping shape future regulations.
About you
Required
BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
8+ years of experience in product compliance, certification, testing, or development of complex electrical or electronic products.
Proven experience leading certification programs with NRTLs or certification agencies.
Strong understanding of medium-voltage power electronics, safety, and grid interconnection standards.
Ability to interpret technical standards and understand the engineering rationale behind requirements.
Experience working in ambiguous or emerging regulatory environments.
Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
Experience working for or closely with certification bodies such as UL, Intertek, CSA, or TÜV.
Participation in standards committees (IEEE, UL, IEC, OCP, NEMA).
Experience with grid code compliance, utility interconnection, or medium-voltage equipment.
Knowledge of international certifications including CE and UKCA.
Familiarity with functional safety, arc-flash, and data center power infrastructure standards.
