Job Overview:

As a Product Manager at Emirates NBD, your role is responsible to drive the development, pricing, execution, and lifecycle management of Structured Products that support the investment needs of the bank’s clients and its growth objectives. The role involves identifying and evaluating new product opportunities, collaborating with internal stakeholders to generate investment ideas, securing necessary product approvals through Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions, and partnering with platform teams to enhance processes and develop innovative product capabilities.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Identify product needs for all customer segments across RBWM working in conjunction with segment and channel leads and eliminate product gaps in the product/service offering. Continuously innovate and identify ideas that align with the house view and client needs.
  • Following house views, global markets and events that may create an end-user need. Ideate payoffs and underlyings where in line with house views, seek stakeholder interest and manage the life cycle of the product. 

  • Ideate, critically analyze, optimize, establish consensus across sales, investment strategy, control functions, launch, trade with assistance from issuers, answer client queries during the life of the product, monitor the products during the life of the product for yellow/red flags, suggest replacements at maturity
  • Improve processes/ automate where possible, reduce TATs on various activities; Also take ownership of various sundry tasks that require the desk’s involvement on a day-to-day basis.
  • Project management for strategic enhancements for the benefit of the wealth management business
  • Continuously improve the infrastructure and desk capabilities (e.g., agreements with issuers, LTVs, digitization)
  • Understand business dynamics across the channels and segments to leverage on product/service needs of the Bank’s customers to position SPs as a key part of a truly valuable customer proposition.
  • Establish delivery of best-in-class educational framework for Structured Products 
  • Automate desk activities wherever feasible
  • Manage relationships with all related internal and external counter parties to ensure smooth running of the distribution channels in delivering targets for the business.
  • Jointly own the budget for SPs in partnership with segments & channels.
  • Monitor structured products trade book for escalation of yellow / red flags to WMIGC for exercising customer duty of care.
  • Develop, monitor, and continuously improve checks and balances to ensure that desk’s activities are compliant with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Act as a point of contact for all stakeholders, internal and external, in relation to Structured Products 
  • Manage Structured Product trade-book for review of secondary market pricing, repeat sale opportunities for upcoming maturities, sales feedback, etc. 

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Degree in Engineering or Mathematics from a globally recognized top-tier university.
  • Preferred Postgraduate qualification in Finance from a reputed international university, with specialized coursework and strong exposure to derivatives, structured products, and advanced financial markets.
  • Proven experience in Equities, Rates, FX, Fixed Income, or Structured Payoff Structuring within a leading bank, 
  • Experience within Global Markets, Quantitative Structuring, or Structured Products
  • Hands-on experience in the design, pricing, and structuring of derivative and structured investment products across asset classes.
  • Demonstrated programming and quantitative development skills, with evidence of coding experience in languages and tools such as Java, VBA, Python, C++, GitHub, SQL, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to build pricing tools, automate workflows, develop quantitative models, and support structuring activities through technology-driven solutions.
  • Experience working closely with Trading, Sales, Structuring, Quantitative Research, Risk Management, and Technology teams to deliver innovative client solutions.
