Software Engineer

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend software applications using Java technologies.
• Create and implement new features, capabilities, and software modules that enhance product functionality and user experience.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and architectural decisions.
• Estimate tasks and contribute to project planning activities to support successful delivery timelines.
• Investigate, document, and resolve software defects while driving continuous stability and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, product stakeholders, and other team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that follows established development standards and best practices.
• Support system optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing application enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on software quality, reliability, and scalability.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Professional experience developing backend applications using Java 8 or newer versions.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design practices.
• Knowledge of the Java ecosystem, including containers, class loaders, data structures, and streams.
• Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Knowledge of Java concurrency and multithreaded programming concepts.
• Basic understanding of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) architecture, capabilities, limitations, and performance considerations.
• Understanding of client-side and server-side application architectures.
• Experience using build and dependency management tools such as Maven or Ant.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience designing scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with modern software development methodologies and agile practices.
• Knowledge of application performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Experience working with source control systems, automated testing, and continuous integration practices.

• Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
